MZFX
Handmade distortion boxes, overdrives, fuzz pedals, microphones, and synthesizers. I dig the classic fuzz boxes from the 60s made from discrete components, like the Fuzz Face and the Tone Bender. The fuzz/overdrive/distortion circuits below are largely influenced by those. The synths are lo-fi noise boxes and square wave generators.
Some of these are available in my Etsy shop at mzfx.etsy.com, others are one-offs made from available materials.
MZFX FEATURED IN NEW STOMPBOX BOOK!
Art of the Stomp Box reveals the visual explosion on guitar effects pedals, treating their faceplates as a new, museum-worthy art form. Chris Cassone travels the world to interview and photograph over sixty boutique and legacy pedal makers—from Electro-Harmonix, ZVEX, and JHS to garage builders on Etsy and Reverb—capturing high-resolution, full-color images alongside histories, artist/designer profiles, and thematic backstories.
